Martha Two-Minute Corsage
I was thrilled to see Martha suggest these do-it-yourself corsages for Mother's Day. This is how I always make wrist corsages because I think it's more elegant than your typical overdone prom corsage. I didn't always get the best reaction, trying to do things away from the norm. I think it just made me feel validated to see it on Martha's website. Martha is awesome!

Forsythia
As I mentioned before, I love flowering branches. The Forsythia is in full bloom right now. I highly recommend a bouquet of Forsythia for Spring Fever. If you don't have a Forsythia bush, you can ask your neighbor, or borrow some from the vacant house next door, like I do. The great thing about it is that usually snipping off a few branches won't effect the overall look of the bush. You can also throw in a few tulips or daffodils if you have any to spare, but I prefer a solid bouquet of Forsythia and I like to enjoy my Spring flowers outdoors where they will last longer.

The Puma Store
I love my Pumas. I need a new pair though, or two. I think I should pick out Pumas for the whole family. I found these at The Puma Store.

Gel Toes
I had an appointment to get Gel Toes (an awesome alternative to acrylic) today from a friend of mine, who works at Paizy Mae's. I was having a really bad day which involved "W" puking multiple times and it totally made my day when I showed up and my sweet Mom had pre-paid for my appointment. I'm sorry I couldn't find a professional picture of gel toes, so you are stuck with my very unfortunate looking feet. I LOVE my new gel toes, they make me smile.

Posie Gets Cozy Craft Room
Ok, PBTB would have convincing me to build a new house in the bag if he promised me a room like this. This is the ultimate craft room. It is too beautiful for words.

Good Night, Sleep Tight
The other day I was talking to a friend and she recommended a book to me, as I was telling her about how "W" wasn't the greatest sleeper and that I couldn't make myself let him "cry it out". I can't remember the name of the book that she said was so wonderful, but while searching, I came across these. I think I might purchase one, or both. Anyone read either of them? Or tried them for that matter? PS, he goes to sleep fine, he just wakes up a lot in the night to eat and then goes right back to sleep.

Green Dimes/The Green Book
Happy Earth Day! Oprah is spotlighting some cool ways for families to start being more Green. I liked the idea of Green Dimes and also a new book, The Green Book, "500 little things that make a big difference". Green Dimes will help you and the planet by reducing your junk mail from 70 to 90 percent. I cringe every morning when I go out to the mailbox and have to throw half of it away. The Green Book talks about cutting back on little things, like 1 napkin a day or refusing an ATM receipt. I know I always refuse my gas receipt, they just float around in the car until I throw them away.

J Crew Josie Dress
I love J. Crew's Spring Whites. If I didn't have to be practical all of the time, I think my whole wardrobe would be some form of white. My favorite sweater is white. My favorite hoodie is white. My favorite pants that I never wear are also white. My favorite skirt that I rarely wear is white. I love this dress, it's on sale, does that mean I should buy it, even though it's still $50? (Sorry about all of the dresses lately. I really need a new dress. Once I actually buy one, I will stop looking for them.)

Home Show Daily
PBTB has been desperately trying to convince me to build a house. He is so adamant, I don't know how much longer until I cave. I love my home and have grown very attached to it over the past 6 1/2 years, it's just not in a great location (busy streets, unkempt yards). On the other hand, leading him on allows me an excuse to go places like Home Show Daily. They are new in Utah, no salesmen sounds great. I don't know.....new houses don't have the character that old houses have.

Shade has very cute new spring dresses for only $32.50. I love this, I just wish it came in more colors.

Outback Chair Company
I saw this chair at The Garden Lodge in Riverton last summer. I have been dreaming about it ever since. This chair makes you feel weightless, it is so comfortable. It would be an ideal Father's Day gift for a first time Daddy, don't you think? It's made by the Outback Chair Company who also makes quite a few other inspiring hanging chairs as well.

The Soft Landing
Everytime I turn around someone tells me that I am going to die from something I'm using or have used. I try to take it all in with a grain of salt, but I think it's smart to watch out what I expose "W" to. The Duchess told me about this website yesterday. If you can't strictly buy everything from this website, at least use it as a reference. The Soft Landing tests everything to make sure it is BPA, PVC and Phthalate free before they will sell it, smart. Sophie the giraffe was on there, but I thought this teether was cute too. Also, safe bottles for Mom and Dad.

Urban Renewal
I am still pouting over the fact that I missed my annual pre-spring trip to sunny St. George. I am still longing to get away. The first place I hit when I go is Urban Renewal. I love this store. If you head down south, go there, you won't be disappointed. I think they have something for everyone.

Parents.Com Birthday Party Planner
I was in the Dr. waiting room today (Strep Throat for the second time in 2 weeks, fun) and I was reading the May 2008 edition of Parents Magazine while patiently waiting my turn. There are some cute party planning ideas. They also have a Birthday Party Planner on line. I was thinking Robots would be cute or maybe Circus. I haven't decided. They have really cute ideas for both. I especially love their cute ideas for themed invitations that are out of the ordinary.

Letterboxing/Tulip Festival
My favorite new hobby is letterboxing. I think this is the coolest thing ever invented. Click here to learn more. I discovered this new hobby while reading Chef Messy's website last summer. Today is our first time going out this year, I can't wait. I think we will try the Jordan River Trail or Old Mill of Salt Lake. They both have multiple boxes. I thought the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point might be fun to stop at as well. Yay!, Spring is finally here!

Old Navy Road Trip Collection
When it comes to buying clothes for Baby "W", I am an Old Navy-aholic. They just get it when it comes to little boy clothes and the prices fit my budget. I heard a nasty rumor that they won't be around by the end of this year, I pray that that's all it is, a rumor. I love to check out their new collections, even if I'm not buying. I love the new Road Trip Collection. I think I better get these. The colors are great.

Help the Honeybees
I have a friend who is a beekeeper. She was telling me about the honeybee crisis a while back (which affects 1/3 of our food supply). I saw this website advertised in Better Homes & Gardens today. Haagen-Dazs wants to help the honeybees so they can continue to make great flavors. Who doesn't support great ice cream? They offer lots of ways to help, one of which is a Bee Store. I thought this t-shirt would be good for the Yarn Queen.

Steve & Barry's
My sis-in-law keeps asking me "Have you been to Steve & Barry's?" Being out of the loop like most new mothers in oblivion are, I give a puzzled look. Then, while browsing Good Things Utah today, there it is again, spotlighted on Chic on a Shoestring. Everything under $20?, sounds like my kind of place. They claim "premium apparel at impossibly low prices". This should be at the top of my "to-do" list. This weekend, everything is $8.98 or less, definitely worth checking out. I thought some of Amanda Bine's items were pretty cute. Sarah Jessica Parker also has her own line.

Nielsen's Frozen Custard
I was in the mood for ice cream today. It snowed last night. It wasn't even warm today. I think I was just hoping for Spring again. It's supposed to warm up this weekend. I can't wait. This is my favorite place for ice cream.

Pei Wei
I have been meaning to eat at Pei Wei for about 3 years now. PBTB and I finally went tonight. I thought it was really good, if you are in the mood for one of those in between fast food and sit down restaurants. I think that those type are usually pretty good, even though I think it's just fast food disquised so that they can charge more money. But really, it was good food.

Clawfoot Bathtub
PBTB and I are tossing around the idea of an addition. Last time we did an addition he let me splurge on one item, a beautiful vintage replica cream enamel gas stove, I love it! This time, if I get the same allowance, I believe I would choose this clawfoot tub or one similar. I am drawn to most things vintage and I have been longing for a clawfoot bathtub for a while now. Costco Online has quite a nice selection of unique bathtubs, there are a few I would consider.

The Kite Runner
Another great movie, and it's only been a couple of weeks. Hollywood must be on a roll. I have always heard a lot about the book, although I hadn't ever read it. This tale is heartbreaking, a must see.

Baby Gap Home
Baby Gap has added an entirely new avenue to their line. Baby Gap Home doesn't have a whole lot that is "new" to me, but definitely a great collection from all of the greatest baby lines. I absolutely love their new bedding and I look forward to see what exclusives pop up in the future. What a cute diaper bag!
