I heard through the grapevine that this is the "place to go" if you're in the mood for Thai. Can't wait to try.

Hammond's Gourmet Candy Canes
Another favorite that I am missing this year without having my store (We could never keep them in stock) These candy canes are absolutely beautiful, you could actually use them for decoration. They are oversized (7 1/2 inches and very wide as well) and taste delicious too (lots of different flavors, including clove), but they do run out, so order early.

Little Sleep Well by Favorite Things
Pajamas on Christmas Eve was always a tradition at my house. I created my own little twist, homemade christmas jammies. We'll see how long that lasts. I doubt I could convince any child over 8 or so to wear homemade jammies. I think this pattern will be perfect.

Gary's Original Soft Caramel Popcorn Balls
I used to carry this line of popcorn balls at my store around the holidays. They are so soft and fresh and yummy. I know they sell them at the outlet mall in St. George, but I need to find somewhere closer to buy. They come in 4 yummy flavors.

Clam Dip
Made this for the big game today. (My niece's recipe) I swear it's like another holiday around here.
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
16 oz. sour cream
beat with electric beaters
add 2 cans drained clams, minced or chopped (I only used one can of minced)
add worchestershire, garlic salt, and lemon juice to taste.
serve with potato chips.

Zipfy Luge
I love this super long Autumn that we're experiencing. However, this would be so much fun when it does finally decide to snow. Only weighs 3.7 lbs., nice for those long hauls up the mountain.

The King's English
Going here was such a treat as a kid. They had a cat wandering around and it is just the epitome of your mom and pop bookstore. There is actually a book written about this classic bookstore. Can't wait to take "W" there.

My Noah's in South Jordan
Remember when I posted about Noah's? Well, now they have a new location in South Jordan. Definitely close enough to justify now. Perfect for holiday get togethers, business or family.

Downeast Basics Favs
I have a few favorites from the latest Downeast Basics catalog. Why not Anthropologie or some other cool place? Let's be honest. I can't afford it and I don't like to torture myself.

Holiday Cruiser @ Gap
I have a nice bike that is in perfectly good condition, but that doesn't stop me from wanting this beach cruiser. I guess they sold out of pink/orange already. This color was all that was left online. Comes in adult and child sizes.

Coupon Album
For any readers who are non-locals, that were really looking forward to a bolt today, here is a bonus. I know there are tons of coupon websites, but I found lots of useful coupons on here. Namely for toys and camera equipment.
Mighty Change Through Christ
Trying to convince PBTB that he would love to take me to this play put on by one of our local stakes. I think I will prevail, who can argue with free?

Pumpkin Pie Caramels on Etsy
Are you kidding me? A combination of two of my favorite flavors. A great addition to your Thanksgiving feast.

Zinn Bistro
Another of my beloved lunch spots. My favorite.....the basket of warm popovers and such that they bring out as appetizers. You really don't even need to eat after that. Perfect for when your have a girls date. But beware, go early, they close at 2 on weekdays and sometimes earlier if they run out of food.

Charley Harper Collection @ Old Navy
Where have I been? I love this new collection at Old Navy. What an unexpected little twist for them. They even have games, books, and puzzles. So cute!

Homemade Christmas
This year our family has opted to do a handmade holiday for Christmas. In order to do this you must plan ahead. No last minute shopping for us. Here are a few websites I've found with great ideas. Of course, I always like to visit Martha first, but here are a few extra.
Knitting needles, fabulous!
There are so many fun things to make for Christmas
Some ideas I've made in the past......jewelry, knit anything (of course), knives (easier than you think), pjs, family history album (mostly a compilation of those stories that get told and re-told at family gatherings), burned photo cd (I have endless amounts of photos of family members, but they've never seen them), small gift scrapbooks, quilts, advent calendars, cement stepping stones, the possibilities are endless.Monday, November 10, 2008
Restoration Hardware Stocking Stuffers
Restoration Hardware is my "go to" place for clever stocking stuffers. Lots of whimsical gifts, but my favorite part is that many are guy appropriate. (warning: not all items are what we like to call inexpensive)
Who could live without a mini Mr. Bill?
Halitosis Detector, that could come in handy.

Jelly Belly Giant Candy Corn
This Autumn mix of chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon candy corn is so yummy. I like to pick out all the cinnamon, they're my favorite. It's become a traditional treat.

Oak Leaf Wreath
I love a big beautiful wreath on the front door, especially around the holidays. Remember when you used to be able to find a pretty good sized wreath for $20-30? I swear I haven't seen a decent looking wreath, that's a decent size for less than $50 for the last 5 years. What's up with that? It must be a conspiracy. I am pretty sure there are still enough leaves on the ground to make this leaf wreath.

How To Cook Everything
The Yarn Queen gave me this cookbook a few years back. I use it all.the.time. I could probably do without any other cookbooks.

Citris Grill
I love this restaurant. Everything they make is yummy. But, my absolute favorite is the Grilled Goat Cheese and Apple Sandwich. You HAVE to try it.
PS....It has to be the Grilled Cheese special of the day, but it usually is.

Electronic Catch Phrase
This game is so much fun, even the game-avoiders will play it on both sides of our families. It's sad really. I don't remember the last time we played Cranium or Settlers of Catan.

Giddy Up! Riding Horse
It's that time of year to start thinking Christmas Gifts. Here goes, the first contender for "W" is this horse. I first saw one here (if anything watch the video, it's hilarious), but then I found one here for a lot less money, (PS, great toy site). "W" LOVES horses and rocking horses are good an' all, but they don't go anywhere, so I thought this would be perfect for him.

Dansko Professional Confetti Felt
After having "W", I wrote off shoes with heels. I'm just not as steady as I used to be. But this might be an exception. I've wanted some Dansko for a long time. I saw this limited edition pair at Heels & Toes at Gardner Village yesterday. I love them, but maybe it's the fiber. FYI, they are much cuter in person, the photo has no justice.
