Homestyle Fluffy White Frosting Mix

It's the last of the box frosting mixes. It's our family tradition. We haven't been able to find them in stores for over a year now. The Yarn Queen finally broke down and bought a whole case online.
February has more birthdays than any other month on both sides of our family. Almost daily. This may sound strange to some of you, but in my family you don't get to pick your favorite birthday cake on your birthday. We all get the same. Maybe it's because that is our favorite. Not only are these cakes delicious, they are beautiful. I am the master froster in the family.

Angel Food Cake w/Almond(Vanilla) Frosting

1 box Angel Food Cake mix, prepare as directed on box (do not make one from scratch, they are a lot of work and they don't taste as good, do not buy one already prepared from the store, they are just gross)

Frosting:

With electric mixer, combine 1/2 box of homestyle fluffywhite frosting mix, a small carton of whipping cream, and almond (or vanilla) extract to taste (a few drops).

Color with food coloring of your choice.

Frost cake with a small 1" metal spatula, (not the kind you flip burgers with)
We like to make the cake have "petals". Apply a dollop of frosting in layers, do not spread.

Cover and store in the freezer. Cut cake with a bread knife after running under hot water.
(PS, if anyone sees this frosting in the store, call me immediately)
